Welcome to what is turning out to be a great way that all people can "do a little and  have a great impact on a number of children who a Friend of ours referred to as "the least of these."
Simply put, the project revolves around a church or organization agreeing to commit to at least 200 packages of gummi worms to be used at a youth event. The packages are exchanged for a $1.00 donation to the program. That $1.00 will be used to defray the cost of the package of worms including shipping to your location and still have enough left to treat 7 children for intestinal parasites or "worms" for 6 months.
Each treatment in Kenya costs approximately 10¢. A quick math calculation tells you that the cost is about 30¢ per bag and the profit is about 70¢. All proceeds from the sale of these "worms" goes to this and other children's programs in Kenya which are administered through the Maua Methodist Hospital.
